Latest Updates from Our Project:

Wow! That was fast!
over 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 03, 2022 at 01:25:29 AM

Hey there and thank you for your support! The game funded in just about 1 hour! I was carefully optimistic that it would fund, but not as fast as this :)

Now that the first shock has settled, I will start answering all questions and setting up a FAQ. Steven Heide who has been a great supporter during the pre-launch phase of the project will help me answer questions as well.

PDFs...
over 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 03, 2022 at 01:24:00 AM

And another update...

There has been some questions regarding the PDFs.

1. Why do I have to pay for the PDF?

The rulebook is the most crucial part of the game. This is where I've spent hundreds of hours, night after night. This is THE product. Of course, the cards, tiles, standees, map are important to  create a complete game and a much smoother experience then the PNP.

I've decided to give the privelige of a free PDF to those who helped this even reach KS by buying the print and play version. Some might think this is fair, some will say it's unfair. 15€ for a PDF? Expensive? Probably. But on the other hand, 7€ for a neoprene mat or 14€ for 25 custom doors are pretty good. It evens out.

2. What use do I as a previous backer have of a PDF that is not prepared for PNP?

Worry not, it will be (sort of).  I will make sure that it is completly playable without the cards so that you can just replace your old book with this.

Female art
over 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 03, 2022 at 01:03:23 AM

Hi again (sorry for spamming you with updates)

There has been some good questions about art for standees and the fact that there has only been male characters shown.

When making the protoype I only had a limited amount of standees availible, and thats why the diversity is very limited. There will however be both male and female characters for each species/profession combination.

Here are some examples of female heroes for the standees (please note that we have not yet decided on exactly which ones to use for each combo so some of these might not make it to the "final") :

As you might notice, I want my heroes dressed for battle and sleeping out in the wild. The number of battle-bikinis will be limited :)

Stretchgoals!
over 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 03, 2022 at 01:03:14 AM

Hi again,

Time for another update. There has been a lot going on during these first hours but I think its time to talk a little bit about the stretchgoals. There was simply no time to write about them as they were unlocked since new ones kept unlocking.

But anyways, here is a short rundown of the goals unlocked.

Quests

These are single quests that can be played as part of an ongoing party career. The way they are designed makes it possible to play them several times with different setups and encounters. Each quest has a short narrative so set the scene, and some of them have special rules designed specifically for that quest.

Campaigns

These contain a series of quests linked together.  Technically, these could also be replayed any number of times, but they are most likely played once per party.

Acrylic initiative tokens

These tokens will be used to determine initiative when playing. There will be a set of hero tokens and a set of monster tokens, enough to handle all encounters.

New  map travel token

This acryllic token will replace the boring cube you can see in the video.

This is a 3D-render, so the final result might differ slightly.

Single sided print of tiles

Initially, some tiles were printed with different motives on the back and front. On one side were a number of rooms with a crypt theme that are used with some of the quest. However, these tiles work fine together with the other tiles, and by printing them single sided, they can now be used during any quest. This increase the total number of rooms available in a quest and creates even more variety.

Tiles

These are new tiles that will be to the game including a room card with rules for the room.

Quick Reference Compendium

This compendium will contain the most used tables during gameplay which reduced the time you have to spend looking in the rulebook. Very handy!

Leather bag for coins

This faux leather bag will let you store your metal coins in style! This stretch goal is unique in the fact that it’s only eligible for those who went for the All-in or Limited Ed.

8 Background stories

When you create your character in the game, there is a possibility to randomize a background for her/him. This background may affect your character in certain ways, and it might give you a personal quest. The base game comes with 12 different stories. I will now add another 8 stories.

Cards for all quest specific monsters

All “standard” monsters comes with cards, but then there are quest specific monsters (named monsters), which are described in the quests. But with this stretch goal, they will all get a card of their own.

5 Treasure cards

I will add another 5 treasure cards to the pile of treasures!

3 Travel events

1 more travel event per type will be added (road, off-road, desert)

That's all for now :)

What a day :)
over 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 03, 2022 at 01:02:46 AM

Once again, thank you all for your support. These last 10 hours have been wonderful and stressful at the same time. Therefore I'm taking an early night, but I'll be back with more updates and answers to your questions tomorrow!

I've received some concerns that we might run out of stretch goals. Worry not...I've got some more up my sleeve should we end up in such a situation. I simply didn't dare think that we would reach those levels.
